Berlin confirms extortion attempt after Rhysida data theft

The attack was discovered in mid-August, according to the report, and affected Senate departments were disconnected from the state network on August 14. Investigators are assessing the incident, while the mayor said Berlin will not pay. Rhysida claims it exfiltrated 5.79 TB of data, but the city says the extent of data theft remains undetermined.
