AI travel platform Fora reaches $1B valuation with $60M Series D
Image: Primary Travel advisory platform Fora raised a $60 million Series D led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures at a $1 billion valuation, TechCrunch reported. Insight Partners and Thrive Capital also participated, bringing total funding to $138.5 million. Founded in 2021, Fora operates a two-sided platform: it provides infrastructure for individuals to become travel agents and lets travelers find and communicate with advisors for trips such as honeymoons or family vacations. The company said agents on its platform have booked over $3 billion in travel since launch, with most advisors new to the profession. Part of the new capital will expand Fora's AI assistant, Via, which handles research and itinerary building so human agents can focus on client relationships. The company also plans to grow into cruises and flights.
