AWS expands DataSync Enhanced transfers to FSx file systems

AWS says DataSync Enhanced mode now supports FSx for Windows File Server and FSx for NetApp ONTAP as transfer sources or destinations. The expansion enables Windows-to-Windows transfers, including from an on-premises file server to FSx for Windows File Server. Enhanced mode now offers the same location options as Basic mode while processing data in parallel, removing file count limits and providing detailed transfer metrics. Its agents can also run on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization version 4.20 or later. The capabilities are available wherever DataSync Enhanced mode is supported.
