PostgreSQL module adds limits on estimated query costs

pg_plan_filter 1.0.0 has been released, giving PostgreSQL administrators a module that rejects statements before execution when their estimated costs exceed configured limits. It lets administrators prevent selected queries from running on production databases. The module can limit an individual statement's cost or the combined cost of statements within one transaction. Administrators can also restrict filtering to SELECT statements. It supports PostgreSQL versions 14 through 18, and its decisions rely on the planner's cost estimates.
