OpenAI creates independent advisory group for release of AI mathematics results

OpenAI created an independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study to assess the significance of new mathematical results and coordinate their publication. Nine mathematicians are initial members, receive no pay, can publish their own views and control membership. The group follows criticism from 25 Fields Medal winners over AI laboratories' rapid publication of solutions to prominent problems.
