Clearlake partners with OpenAI to push GPT tools across 50-plus portfolio companies
Image: Connect Money Clearlake Capital Group formed a strategic partnership with OpenAI to speed AI adoption across more than 50 portfolio companies, Connect Money reported.
Portfolio companies will get access to GPT-5.6 and ChatGPT Work for multistep workflows that can use files, plugins, and approved tools. Clearlake AI Labs will help management teams choose use cases, make build-or-buy calls, and implement tools in products, operations, and customer-facing work.
At portfolio company Alteryx, Clearlake said legal teams use ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex on contracts and AI-related risks, and that more than half of engineering staff have adopted Codex CLI. The firm said the OpenAI tie-up follows a July data-platform collaboration with Databricks and West Monroe. Connect Money noted Clearlake manages more than $185 billion and recently closed an eighth flagship fund at $14.8 billion with AI-driven transformation as a core theme.
