Data center firm Switch confidentially files for US IPO, Bloomberg tells Reuters

Data center firm Switch confidentially files for US IPO, Bloomberg tells Reuters Image: Primary
Data center operator Switch has confidentially filed for a U.S. initial public offering, Bloomberg News reported, according to a Reuters dispatch citing people familiar with the matter. Reuters had previously reported, citing sources, that the company could raise up to $10 billion as soon as the fourth quarter at close to a $80 billion valuation, including debt. Switch did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the Bloomberg report, and Reuters said it could not independently verify that account. Switch operates large-scale data center campuses that supply power, cooling, and connectivity for AI computing, letting cloud providers and enterprises deploy GPU clusters used to train and run AI models. Reuters noted that demand for that infrastructure has surged as companies invest heavily in AI, lifting interest in data center operators and related firms.
