Developers claim Linux GPU driver prototype for M4 Mac Mini

Two developers said they built a Linux GPU driver for the M4 Mac Mini and MacBook Neo in about a month. The project claims OpenGL ES 3.0 compliance, WebGL support in Chrome and Firefox, and a custom user-space driver and Linux kernel driver derived through clean-room reverse engineering. The authors said the code is not ready for end users and that they are working toward Vulkan support. They attributed part of the development effort to Codex-assisted experiments using hardware traces.
