NotebookLM is now Gemini Notebook
Image: Primary Google announced today it is renaming NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook. The company said the product remains a standalone research tool but will now do more across the Google ecosystem including inside the Gemini app and Google Search. Google said it introduced NotebookLM at Google I/O 2023 as Project Tailwind with a goal to help people learn. The company said more than 30 million people and over 600,000 organizations are using it. Google said it has started to roll out an update that gives every notebook a secure cloud computer allowing Gemini Notebook to write and execute code natively for complex data analysis grounded in sources. The company said this is available today for Google AI Ultra users and Workspace business customers with AI Ultra Access and AI Expanded Access. Google said it will roll out to all Pro users on the web over the coming weeks. The company said users can already access and create notebooks directly within the Gemini app with full cross-app syncing. Google said it will soon bring notebooks directly into AI Mode in Search.
