Google says it is rolling out Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Flash-Lite TTS through the Gemini API and Google AI Studio starting today. The text-to-speech models turn written scripts into spoken audio; Flash adds voice creation from prompts, while Flash-Lite targets high-volume production. Google says developers can direct delivery line by line and work across more than 100 languages and dialects. Flash can also replicate a voice from a 30-second sample, subject to a matching verbal consent recording. Google says generated audio carries a SynthID watermark. Enterprise API access is planned for later, so today's rollout centers on its developer tools.
