Volvo plans Nvidia driving software and computing systems for future car

NVIDIA Endeavor Image: Primary
Volvo Cars announced an expanded Nvidia partnership to integrate the supplier's sensors, computing systems and driving software into a next-generation car. The planned technology combines Nvidia's Hyperion sensor and compute architecture, Halos OS and Alpamayo Stack driving software with Volvo's vehicle safety systems. The companies say the system is intended to handle highways, urban streets and parking, with a gradual introduction of driving that lets occupants take their eyes and attention off the road. The technology is intended for future Volvo cars; the announcement describes planned capabilities rather than demonstrated driving performance.
