Samsung plans to build a semiconductor testing facility in Vietnam with a total investment of 105.7944 trillion VND, according to documents submitted to Thai Nguyen provincial authorities cited by SammyGuru. The facility will test packaged DRAM and NAND memory chips before shipment to customers. The 265,895-square-meter site will occupy two zones of Yen Binh Industrial Park, alongside Samsung's smartphone plants. Testing will check performance under normal and harsh conditions and remove defective chips. The first production line is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2027; the second is expected to start in October 2028.
