Mach9 raises $34 million for AI-assisted civil engineering software Image: Primary
Mach9 announced a $34 million Series A round co-led by First Round Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners to expand its AI-powered design software business. Prudence and existing investor Quiet Capital also participated. The software turns imagery and laser-scan survey data into a first draft of a plan that engineers can edit and assess. Mach9 has nearly 100 private-beta customers, which have used it on more than 2,500 projects. The company says its automation makes the work 10 times faster. CEO Alex Baikovitz said funding will support product improvements, industry hiring and organizational growth. Licensed professionals still review the output and bear responsibility for their deliverables.
