Cloudflare opens Gateway traffic transformation through Workers in public beta

Cloudflare opens Gateway traffic transformation through Workers in public beta Image: Primary
Cloudflare says its new Gateway Forward action is available in public beta, letting customers route permitted HTTP traffic through their own Workers code. The code can modify request headers and bodies, change responses, or trigger actions such as notifications while Gateway handles connections, encryption and certificates. The company says the capabilities are available across Zero Trust plans. A separate feature, Custom Functions, will let customer code return values used in security policy decisions, but is due before the end of the year. Cloudflare cautions that transformations of live requests require careful design to avoid harming users' experience.
