AWS HealthOmics adds third-party container registries for private workflows

AWS has expanded HealthOmics support for third-party container registries, allowing private bioinformatics workflows to use images from Seqera Wave, NVIDIA NGC and Google Artifact Registry. AWS says customers can use existing tools without manually migrating images into Amazon Elastic Container Registry or editing workflow definitions. HealthOmics copies the images into customers' Amazon ECR registries on their behalf when private workflows run. Previously, it could pull images only from registries supported through Amazon ECR's pull-through cache. The expanded support is available in all AWS Regions where HealthOmics operates.
