AWS expands T8i compute instances to São Paulo

AWS has made its EC2 T8i instances available in its South America region in São Paulo, expanding access to computing designed for workloads with low to moderate processor use. The instances use custom Intel Xeon 6 processors and come in nano, micro, small and medium sizes. AWS says T8i offers up to 30% better price performance and up to 70% higher compute performance than T3. Customers can buy On-Demand or Spot instances. T8i retains T3's CPU credit system, with Standard and Unlimited modes; the Savings Plan purchase option is coming later.
