Tesla Cybercab showcased at National Federation of the Blind convention in Austin

Tesla showcased its Cybercab at the National Federation of the Blind Annual Convention in Austin. A July 6, 2026 post from the Tesla Robotaxi account on X said the vehicle provided hands-on demonstrations of accessibility features for blind or visually impaired riders. Features highlighted in the post included Braille lettering on physical controls, space for service animals and assistive devices, and wheelchair-height seating for easier transfers. The post included four photos showing the Cybercab interior and the event. Eric, identified as Tesla's Cybercab Engineering Lead, replied that autonomy must mean freedom of mobility for everyone. He added that the company was very excited to have been a part of the National Federation of the Blind Annual Convention with Cybercab this year, gaining valuable insight on how to continue to make products better for all. The post recorded thousands of likes and millions of views.
