Tableau July 2026 release adds Agent conversational analytics enhancements

Tableau released its July 2026 software update, which adds enhancements to Tableau Agent conversational analytics. The features are generally available in Tableau Next. According to the company's July 2026 new features page, Tableau Agent's conversational analytics capabilities now support a broader range of deep analysis including trend, composite, and period-over-period comparisons, new visualizations such as donut charts, heat maps, scatter plots and more, and the ability to act on those insights directly in conversation.
