Deliveroo plans Coco robot deliveries in five UK locations

Deliveroo plans Coco robot deliveries in five UK locations Image: Primary
Deliveroo has partnered with Coco Robotics to introduce pavement delivery robots in five UK locations, beginning in Canary Wharf this month, The Next Web reports. Milton Keynes, Leeds, Stockton on Tees and Nottingham are due to follow in the coming weeks and months. Coco's electric, four-wheeled robots travel at walking pace using cameras, sensors and AI. The initial scheme involves only a handful of merchants, including Patty and Bun, Signorelli and Beam in Wood Wharf. Deliveroo says human riders will continue handling most orders and has not specified the share robots will take or a timetable for that share.
