ERI Image: Primary
American Amplifier Technologies has acquired majority ownership of Electronics Research Inc. from Tom Silliman, who is retiring after serving as president and CEO since 1977. ERI designs, manufactures and installs broadcast antennas, towers, transmission lines, filters and combiners. Terms were not disclosed. AAT owner Steve Wilde said ERI's products and operations would continue, including its Chandler, Indiana, facility. The acquisition brings ERI under the same owner as broadcast equipment businesses Shively Labs and Kathrein-Scala. ERI's headquarters and main manufacturing facility contain over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing, design and office space.
