A CenterPoint Energy data breach affects a million customers, the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says. In a report to that office, CenterPoint said the breach included customer names, addresses, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers. The report also shows the company had not yet contacted those customers. CenterPoint said it continues to investigate the incident disclosed in September and is working with external cybersecurity, forensic and legal advisers to identify customers requiring notification. The company said its delivery of electric and gas services remains operational and undisrupted.
