Global shipments of AI glasses rose 263% year over year in the first half of 2026, Counterpoint Research reports. Its count includes glasses without displays as well as augmented reality and AI glasses. Counterpoint attributes the increase chiefly to display-less products from Meta and EssilorLuxottica. The figure measures shipments across those device categories, rather than sales of a single type of augmented reality glasses.
