Researchers reportedly recover Flock camera media through stored key
Image: Primary A hacking group that removed a Flock roadway camera reportedly found an encryption key on its media partition, allowing access to another partition containing stored media, 404 Media reported.
The camera held about 1.6 million images collected over 21 days and 27,321 short video clips, according to the report. Flock had said its cameras used on-device encryption and that physical access was needed to exploit identified flaws. The report says the group did not access the camera's most sensitive data.
