Figure AI humanoid robots sorted packages continuously for more than 40 hours in a company livestreamed demonstration, Figure founder and CEO Brett Adcock said on X, according to Interesting Engineering. The test began as an eight-hour run with four Helix 02-powered robots named Bob, Frank, Gary and Rose. After zero failures, the company extended the run, which ultimately processed over 50,000 packages. The robots detected barcodes, picked up packages and placed them barcode-face down on conveyor belts while running fully autonomously on the Helix 02 system with no teleoperation. Helix 02, introduced in January, integrates vision, touch, proprioception and whole-body control through a unified neural network. The demonstration followed an earlier livestream where robots worked more than 17 hours and handled over 22,000 packages. Figure said the results come from its own livestream and not an independent audit. Buyers will want to see whether the performance can be repeated in real warehouse or factory settings with safety, uptime and cost data.
